In order to protect Japan's beautiful paddy field scenery and preserve it for the future. The widespread of Sake culture is one of the way to do the magic. Both sake and rice shochu are made from rice. Using the same raw materials and going through the same fermentation process, however, the beverage will be completely different due to different post-processing.
"Ryu Sho" is a brand that focuses in origin, from growing our own Sake rice, to ferment and even distillation, all these efforts are just to fulfill one mission : To introduce & promote sake and rice shochu to the world.
"Ryu Sho" in fact is an ancient drinking game that originated from China. Literati will sit alongside a river, pick up & drink Sake that’s floating in the water and reciting poems. This game then, was acculturated to Japan afterwards. We use Ryu Sho as our brand name hoping that people from all over the world can enjoy the beauty of Sake and create a new kind of "flow" of sake culture.
